We Play and Learn Through Games

In the GLIDE Lab, we conduct research and design of games and interactive digital environments. Our research is pluralistic methodological approaches in order to examine and better understand the role of games and interactive digital environments in supporting human cognition, motivation, and identity formation in multiple disciplines and interdisciplinary areas. Broadly, the mission of the GLIDE lab is to explore the learning process, motivation to learn, and identity change in students using immersive digital technologies to impact formal and informal learning.

Our research focuses on sociocultural contexts, design, technology, cognition, motivation, and identity exploration.
